Project write-up:
To react on the spatial situation of the Siewerdtstrasse a design strategy
was developed that adapts the building mass and the apartment types to
the different spatial conditions. In contrast to the northern side of
the building, which represents a classical frontage, the southern façade
is stepped and modulated, structuring the courtyard.

Splitlevel:
Due to the depth and the north-south orientation of the building, each
apartment has a lofty, 3.50 m high main space. On the southern side this
space has a balcony. This split-level typology stretches the apartment
over up to three different levels.

Regular apartments:
The head of the building gets excellent sun exposure on all sides. The
apartments are orientated north, east and south. All of them have balconies
or terraces.

Attic:
All apartments have generous balconies on the south side, with nice views
over Oerlikon. Every flat has a different layout.
